Asserting Limits

Your plate is already full and now you’re faced with another project. It can be challenging to say no and prioritize your own interests. Building the ability to say no requires practice and role-playing in different scenarios. Start with smaller requests and gradually work your way up to more challenging situations to gain confidence in setting boundaries. Be polite and respectful while asserting your limits. It’s perfectly fine to let people know that you can’t take on more without compromising prior commitments. Remember, what you don’t do determines what you can do.
