Meet Sven Gade

Sven Gade

My name is Sven Gade and I have been a leader in the corporate world of logistics for more than 25 years, mainly at DHL. I have experience leading small sales teams and big operational entities. I have driven organizational change and guided diverse teams spread across the globe. I lived through many triumphs and some tragedies. These experiences taught me great lessons such as how to inspire,

how to connect and how to empower people; and consequently, how to deliver results. Looking back, I felt to be at my best when I could bring together people and make with them extraordinary things happen, in the complexity of the corporate world as well as the dynamic environment of start-ups. Following my passion, I started my coaching firm to positively influence the development of other leaders and their teams.

My name is Sven Gade and I empower leaders and teams to develop the mindset and the behaviors which let them successfully accomplish their most ambitious goals. As an executive coach, team coach, and workshop facilitator who knows the complexity of the corporate world as well as the dynamic environment of start-ups, I am a reliable partner for clients all around the world.

In our engagements, I inspire them with realistic optimism, empathy, and persistence to drive sustainable change, to develop cohesive teams, and to achieve high levels of performance, individually and collectively. I have published some of my insights, both as the co-author of the book “Winning Mindset” and as featured guest speaker at the Florida Atlantic University (FAU).

Those that worked with me have acknowledged me as an approachable authority in the field of leadership and teamwork.

Following my passion, I founded LeaderTrip Coaching® with more than 25 years of experience as a senior executive in the logistics industry, mainly at DHL, where I worked with global and cross-cultural teams in operations, process improvement, and business development. I lived through many triumphs and some tragedies. These experiences taught me great lessons that help me now to help others to grow in their professional roles.

My practice is built on solid ground. I earned the designation of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation (ICF) and Certified Team Performance Coach™ (CTPC) from Team Coaching International (TCI). Additionally, I am a certified practitioner of the Emotional Intelligence assessment by Genos, an Australian research company.

Physical exercises are an important part of my life. I frequently swim, cycle, run outdoors, and occasionally participate in triathlon races. Every year, a friend and I go on an extensive, 5-day-long bicycle tour to explore foreign territories. Cumulatively, we have biked 7,775 miles and more importantly, collected unforgettable memories from 19 countries.

The commonalities between business and sport led me to name my company LeaderTrip Coaching. I’ve had the opportunity to work and live in many different places. Today I consider myself being a world citizen. Fort Lauderdale has been home to my wife and me for 15 years. We enjoy the ocean and the close connection with our family and friends.
