LeaderTrip's Coaching Bad News

It is tough and it is part of their role, leaders have to get in front of their people and deliver bad news. It’s not about getting buy-in, the decision has been made already. It’s about informing those that are impacted, as direct and factual as possible. No personal perspective, no sugarcoating, no uncertainty. Just explain the reason for the decision and how corporate values have been applied. Give people time to vent and listen to their concerns. You cannot revise the decision, but you can support them to move forward!
