It is fun to work with teams of highly motivated people. But it needs more than that. Teams need to bring the horsepower on the road and deliver when it is crunch time. Great leaders assemble their teams, collect everybody’s input to create the team’s code of working together. It defines a few crucial behaviors everybody is committed to and willing to be held accountable for. Focus on top priorities, stick to decisions made, give and take constructive feedback, communicate effectively, and respond in a timely fashion. This is how the team makes effective use of its own energy!
