At some point one team member will have an idea for the team purpose: “We are here to…”. Let others build on it and offer their versions. Stop when you have a statement that captures the essence, don’t make it perfect. The statement is specific for your team, it is your superordinate goal, something to fight for together even when things are getting tough!
