You know how you work and how you want to communicate with others. But do the people you lead also know? Take just a few minutes, sit down with them, and give them your ‘user manual’, the do’s and don’ts to work with you. Tell them if you want to know every detail or rather a summary in big broad brush strokes. Make clear if you are open for people to drop by your office or do you prefer to schedule even short meetings in advance? What matters to you? Your team is eager to know. The deeper you go the better they understand your values and your principles of leadership.
