The discussion with your team is going in the wrong direction. Slowly but surely you’re getting annoyed. You try to through in a few comments to bring everybody back on track – and suddenly the whole energy is sucked out of the room. You didn’t think very much about what you said, you even though you were a bit funny. But others perceived you rather as sarcastic or cynical. A defense strategy you might have chosen unknowingly.
