Thumb Voting

LeaderTrip's Coaching Thumb Voting

Team members find great solutions by exchanging their opposing views and opinions. But then, the decision-making can become cumbersome and frustrating, in particular when consensus is needed. To accelerate the process you can let your people vote early on. Thumbs up mean ‘I agree and fully support the decision’. Thumbs sideways mean ‘I have one or more reservations, but I will support the decision’. Thumbs down, means ‘I don’t or can’t support the decision’. From here you only need to work with the reasons for any thumbs down vote to make the decision acceptable to all.
