Back Seat

LeaderTrip's Coaching Back Seat

You work with very qualified people but it seems that all eyes are always on you when it is about to scale up the team’s performance. Everybody else seems to be passive. Maybe it’s because of you. Maybe they fear your reaction when they fail. Maybe they got comfortable with you ‘fixing it all’ and not giving much space to contribute. Change your approach! Describe the team’s destination as inspiring as you can. Then invite your people to come together and develop the best way forward, ask questions, help if they get stuck – and take a back seat!
