Every leader makes promises—big ones in meetings, small ones in hallway conversations. But leadership credibility isn’t built on intention; it’s built on follow-through.

Commitment requires deliberateness. Before you say “yes,” pause and decide whether you truly mean it. Because once you commit, your words become a contract in the minds of others.

Strong leaders either keep their commitments or, when reality genuinely changes, renegotiate them early and openly.

What erodes trust fastest is silence—missed follow-ups, unspoken delays, or hoping people will forget. They don’t.
