And then there are people who say ‘I don’t need to be best friends with my colleagues’. What do they try to tell us ? That they want to keep others at arm’s length ? Sure, friends are private, colleagues are business, and the subject we discuss with each of these groups are commonly very different. But that is not the point. It is about the relationship. We know our best friends, we care about them and we are willing to make sacrifices for them. You don’t have to treat your colleagues the same way. But if you do, you open doors to higher levels of teamwork and job satisfaction !
