One very compelling reason for teams to meet is to make decisions. But very often the rules how to go about it are not clear enough. The team can easily get off track by trying to find a solutions that satisfies every single of the topic. Boredom or anxiety might creep in. In contrast, effective teams put quickly all cards on the table without repeating points already made. It is then up to their leader to come up with an acceptable resolution, one that everybody supports, even if not the favorite of each individual. Nobody wants to miss such a meeting!
