We all like to win, it feels really good. Losing doesn’t feel so good. In a sales role, we are expected to go out highly competitive and win new business, to bring back what everyone in our ‘tribe’ needs to survive. This is great! Those dynamics are just very different within our own team. Often others lose when you win. Suppress your ego when opinions diverge, listen to understand your colleagues, and admit when they propagate a better solution. First, it might feel like losing, but in reality, you are winning as a team.
