Performance reviews are a common practice to develop talent. But too often too much time is spent on the review itself, the correct evaluation of what has been done by an employee in the past. Equally or even more important is the forward view and a dialog about performance goals. However, not everybody knows how to get to the next level. Great leaders support their people to remove performance barriers or learn a new skills.
