Riding the Second Wave

Jason is an emerging leader in charge of a challenging software implementation project. He is set to meet with the customer’s VP of Technology, a difficult person to deal with.

Feeling a bit insecure, Jason asks his boss, Rick, if he can sit in on the meeting. Rick replies: ‘You’ll do it, I take the second wave’.

At first, Jason feels let down, but soon he realizes the power of Ricks message. It is empowerment and reassurance that Rick has his back.
